MB&F M.A.D Edition MAD1 Project RED
The M.A.D. 1 RED watch, created by Maximilian Büsser for MB&F, is a luxury timepiece that pushes the boundaries of traditional watchmaking. Despite not featuring the MB&F branding, the watch's appeal is undeniable. It is available through exclusive channels and raffles, and represents MB&F's success in overcoming adversity and gaining acclaim by building trust and anticipation among its supporters. The watch's unique time display, powered by a Miyota movement, has sparked debates about its value proposition. However, its captivating design and intricate construction leave a lasting impression, with a sapphire crystal bowl, distinctive rotor, and comfortable strap that deliver both a tactile and visual experience. The M.A.D. 1 RED's appeal lies in its ability to offer luxury horology enthusiasts an accessible and exciting option without compromising on functionality. It transcends its price point and embodies the innovative and accessible spirit of MB&F's legacy.

MB&F
Swiss watch industry veteran, businessman, and entrepreneur Maximilian Büsser founded his eponymous brand MB&F (“Maximilian Büsser & Friends”) in 2005 following accomplished stints at Harry Winston and Jaeger-LeCoultre. A horological laboratory of sorts, MB&F is unlike traditional watchmaking enterprises, bringing together innovators from across the industry to collaborate on “Horological Machines” and “Legacy Machines” — timekeeping devices and wristwatches that push the creative and engineering envelopes in completely new directions.
A relatively small and nimble company, MB&F crafts kinetic sculptures in partnership with some of the most learned minds in watchmaking, including Stephen McDonnell, Kari Voutilainen, L’Epée, and others, the results of which are breathtaking. Certain of these works are displayed in the company’s “M.A.D. Galleries” (“mechanical art devices”) around the world, allowing buyers, potential customers, and others to view the firm’s groundbreaking horological art in a nontraditional setting.
MB&F and its creations have been awarded by the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève — the “Oscars” of the watch world — in recognition of the firm’s creativity, spirit, and watchmaking accomplishment. Truly, there are few companies operating today whose wares can be considered as thought-provoking and innovative as those of Maximilian Büsser & Friends.
