When it comes to owning a slice of Panerai's recognizable styling, this PAM 753 provides everything you need and nothing you don't. Although the Italian watch brand only entered the civilian market in the 1990s, Panerai was busy making watches long before it released the Luminor to the world. The father of the Luminor is a watch known as the Radiomir – the very first model that Rolex manufactured for Panerai back in 1936. It was originally commissioned by the Royal Italian Navy for its frogmen commandos as an accurate, capable tool watch able to withstand extreme conditions. The Radiomir is undeniably a Panerai; however, there are a few noticeable visual differences between it and a Luminor, including a smoother, more classic cushion case, no crown guards, and elegant tweaks to the lugs. In fact, "elegance" is an accurate way to summarize the Radiomir, as its core DNA hasn’t deviated that much over the years from the original 1936 watch.
